3 Amigos have produced several independent animations in Central America. We can't stop animating. 3 Amigos produce 2D animation using software from Toon Boom Animation. In 2005 we produced a 23 minute comedy in Spanish for TV called ORALE! Surf to the packages page to see the misadventures of Quique and Toti running for class president. Politics may never be the same.Between 2007 and 2009, we animated an hour long educational film "Las Aventuras de Junajpu' y Luna" with La Cebita Productions. The story is of a brother and sister saving the world from evil. In this film the kids learn about the basic human rights afforded to children by the UN Human Rights Charter. The film was financed by the Soros Foundation, Save the Children Norway and CINERGIA (a Central American film fund).
"Las Aventuras de Junajpu' y Luna"
"A long time ago, long before you or your parents were born, a very wise man existed. This wise man could see through the ages, and what would come to pass on our planet. He saw wars, fires, cruelty and violence; luckily he also saw a possibility to conquer that wickedness. The man took his paintbrushes and drew his vision on a temples stonewall. In the painting the following prophecy could be read: One will be born that are two, with great powers, to bring light and happiness, shadow will fall and good will reign.""Las Aventuras de Junajpu' y Luna" is an animation, produced to be transmitted on TV and presented at educational institutions. The series reveals the story of two twins separated by evil and the adventures they face to be reunited and realize the prophecy that says that they will save to the world. The story's framework develops inside an indigenous family, which lives on the banks of Lake Atitlán in Guatemala.
The story captures the values and identity of the native towns, the knowledge of children's rights, as well as the identification of boys and girls with an above-mentioned ethical model to the preservation of the environment.
"Las Aventuras de Junajpu' y Luna" permits the boy or girl that watches, to be introduced to a different, magical world than the traditional system of education and to identify with the small heroes of the story.
